"F" visa is for academic visits valid for less than 180 days with 1-2 entries.
You need an invitation letter issued by a PKU department/school to apply for an "F" visa.
Documents Required：
? Basic personal information;
? Copy of your Passport (valid for at least 6 months);
? Visiting purpose and dates;
? Your educational experience and work experience.
"F" Visa Extension
The extension of a current "F" visa will not exceed the duration of stay which is specified on the visa. Submit your extension application to the Exit-Entry Administration of Municipal Public Security Bureau at least 7 days before your visa expires.
Documents Required:
? Visa/Stay permit/Residence permit Application Form (one 2-inch photo);
? Letter issued by Office of International Relations;
? Passport (valid for at least 6 months);
? Accommodation Registration Form issued by the hotel or local police station;
? Certificate of kinship for family members (marriage certificate or children's birth certificate with Chinese translation versions).
